INTEGRATES took part in the Built4People Cluster Meeting, held at CINEA in Brussels on 6 October, to present its approach to preserving building data across the full lifecycle โ from design and construction to operation, renovation and deconstruction.
The project was represented by Cristian Pozza, senior researcher at the Institute for Renewable Energy of Eurac Research and coordinator of INTEGRATES, who introduced the projectโs vision for ensuring that building data remains usable, interoperable and valuable across every phase of a buildingโs life.
INTEGRATES aims to bridge existing data standards rather than create another isolated system. Its approach focuses on making BIM and Digital Twin workflows more practical for construction SMEs, while supporting circular renovation, material recovery and more informed decision-making in the built environment.
The project will validate its approach through four European demonstration cases, generating evidence on how connected data can support more efficient, circular and collaborative building processes.
The meeting brought together new and established Built4People projects to exchange experiences, discuss policy relevance and identify opportunities for cooperation. For INTEGRATES, one particularly relevant area of collaboration is the alignment of building-data models for Digital Building Logbooks and Digital Product Passports, helping projects produce comparable evidence for future policy and implementation.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections across the Built4People partnership and explore future collaboration between projects.
